1. Purpose and scope
This Code of Conduct sets out the minimum standards and principles governing how Laulainen.fi operates.
It applies to the company’s management and employees;
and suppliers, subcontractors, partners, and other parties in our supply chain involved in delivering goods and/or services to our customers.
We comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Finland, European Union, and in any country or a region where we operate or source products.
2. Legal compliance and fair business
We comply with applicable legislation, including labour, tax, environmental, competition, and data protection laws.
We conduct business honestly and transparently and maintain accurate and verifiable books and records.
We do not tolerate tax evasion, undeclared work, or any form of grey economy practices.
3. Anti-bribery and anti-corruption
We do not offer, promise, give, request, or accept bribes or improper advantages to influence business decisions.
Hospitality and business gifts are permitted only when reasonable, transparent, infrequent, and compliant with applicable rules, and when they do not create an undue obligation.
This prohibition also covers indirect benefits provided through third parties.
4. Conflicts of interest
We avoid situations where private interests could improperly influence business decisions.
Potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed without delay and managed transparently (e.g., recusal from decision-making).
5. Competition law and fair markets
We comply with competition laws.
We do not engage in anti-competitive agreements (e.g., price fixing, bid rigging, market/customer allocation).
We do not exchange confidential or competition-sensitive information with competitors.
6. Human rights, labour standards and non-discrimination
We respect internationally recognized human rights and expect the same from our supply chain.
Child labour: We do not tolerate child labour.
Forced labour: We do not tolerate forced labour, debt bondage, or human trafficking.
Non-discrimination: We provide equal opportunities and do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or bullying.
Working conditions: We comply with applicable wage, working time, and employment requirements.
Freedom of association: We respect employees’ lawful rights to organize and bargain collectively.
7. Health and safety (HSE)
Safety is a priority. We identify risks and provide appropriate instructions, equipment, and protective measures.
When working on customer sites, we comply with applicable occupational safety requirements and the customer’s site rules.
We report incidents and near misses and take preventive actions.
8. Environmental responsibility
We aim to reduce environmental impacts through material efficiency, waste minimization and sorting, energy efficiency, and optimized logistics.
We comply with environmental legislation and ensure appropriate handling of waste and any hazardous materials.
We expect equivalent diligence from suppliers and subcontractors.
We prioritize suppliers who have related certifications, e.g., ISO 50001.
9. Data protection, information security and confidentiality
We process personal data in accordance with GDPR and other applicable laws.
We protect confidential information belonging to customers, partners, and the company and use it only for agreed purposes.
We do not disclose confidential information without proper authorization or a lawful basis.
10. Sanctions, anti-money laundering and responsible sourcing
We comply with applicable international sanctions and export/import restrictions.
We do not knowingly do business with parties involved in money laundering, corruption, or other serious misconduct.
We apply reasonable, risk-based due diligence to key suppliers and partners.
11. Subcontractors and supply chain requirements
We require suppliers and subcontractors to meet at least the standards set out in this Code of Conduct.
We reserve the right to request documentation and clarifications (e.g., statutory compliance documents, insurances, certifications) and to address any identified gaps.
Material breaches may result in suspension or termination of the business relationship.
12. Reporting channel and handling of concerns
We encourage reporting suspected breaches in good faith. Reports are handled confidentially and objectively.

13. Monitoring and continuous improvement
We communicate this Code of Conduct to employees and, where relevant, to suppliers and partners.
We review and update this Code as needed due to changes in law or customer requirements.
We monitor compliance as part of normal management and supplier/customer cooperation.
